The Brand Specialist is directly responsible for selling new and used vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards. The Brand Specialist is expected to uphold the highest ethical and professional standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Sell a minimum number of vehicles, based on goals and objectives defined by the sales manager.
- Determine each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening intently, responding to inquiries in a timely fashion and answering inquiries on available stock and product information.
- Treat every individual calling or visiting as a buyer.
- Demonstrate knowledge of how to stay off price and focus on value.
- Know and understand equity and values and be able to explain depreciation to the customer.
- Exhibit knowledge of how to overcome objections and close the sale.
- Keep abreast of incoming vehicle inventory and test drive them to increase familiarity.
- Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the product.
- Follow up on a consistent basis to make sure prospects are sufficiently informed of our inventory, services, and current offers.
- Schedule appointments with interested buyers for test drives and delivery of vehicles.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of leasing and financing.
- Disclose terms of sales with consumers and review sales with dealership management.
- Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival, ensuring that the customer.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent.
- Must have exceptional customer service and strong communication, verbal and written, skills in order to work most effectively with customers on the phone or email communications.
- Must have one (1) year experience in sales or front-line customer service position or automotive dealership client-facing position.
- Must be Internet savvy, have proficient computer skills. A working knowledge of the following applications, but not limited to:
- ADP
- CRM web-based programs
- Microsoft Office – Word and Excel * Able to meet deadlines, process all work accurately and respond to changing priorities.
- Must have a valid Hawaii Motor Vehicle Sales License or be able to obtain one.
- Must have a current Driver license and an acceptable motor vehicle abstract.

Position:
Business Development Center Sales Associates (“BDC Sales Associate”) located at Cycle City Hawaii.
Business Development Center Sales Associates (“BDC Sales Associate”) are responsible for generating new prospects at every customer touch-point via internet, phone, or in-person. A BDC Sales Associate will help us to discover new and innovating ways to develop relationships with new clients to drive them into the Dealership and retain existing clients by utilizing both phone and internet strategies. The Business Development Center will operate as an incoming and outgoing call and email center with the incentives of making sales appointments for all our dealerships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Communicates effectively with internet clients and prospects by phone, e-mail, or in person and sets appointments for proper vehicle demonstration.
- Refer leads and prospects for vehicle sales to the new and pre-owned sales departments.
- To be fully knowledgeable of all dealership products and services including but not limited to inventory, pricing, incentive programs, and financing options.
- Directs customers to product information resources, including those available on the internet.
- Assists customers in selecting a vehicle via the internet, email, and or phone conversations.
- Negotiate price when needed.
- Understands the psychology of internet customers and works with them accordingly to help them with their decision and sets an appointment for proper vehicle demonstration.
- Research auto-buying services on the internet and acts as liaison with any services the dealership uses to promote its site or advertise.
- Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits for our clients.
- Engage customers via Best Practices call guides, email templates, and other tools.
- Responds to email inquiries immediately. Delivers messages intended for other departments promptly. Notify customers that their messages have been forwarded to the appropriate personnel for prompt attention.
- Handles all internet sales inquiries personally.
- Maintains an ongoing customer database to capture repeat business.
- Accurately records all customer leads, notations, and comments by using ADP, DMS and CRM.
- Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity and devises a strategy to meet those goals.
- Track follow up and appointments and runs reports for the department.
- Attends product and sales training as requested by Sales Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Moving bikes into the proper locations throughout the Service and Sales Department, Warehouse and Dealership.
- Providing direct “hands-on” assistance and support to the Service and Sales Manager and any designated employee to enhance the efficiency and flow of work to the Service Technicians.
